Your Ultimate Guide to Summer Skincare - Sun, Fun, and Radiant Skin

Hi there, fellow sun-lovers! 😎

As we soak up the beautiful Warrington sun, let's have a chat about keeping our skin happy and healthy throughout these gorgeous summer months. Whether you're planning a stay-cation, just picnicking the local parks, or enjoying some lovely garden BBQ's with a glass of Prosecco in hand, I've got some tips to keep your skin glowing.

1. Sun Protection is Your Best Friend First things first—sun-cream isn't just advisable; it's non-negotiable. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day, even when it's cloudy. Reapply every two hours if you're out and about, or immediately after a dip in the pool or a sweat session at the gym. (Contact me if you would like sun-cream recommendations!)

2. Hydration Inside Out Keep your skin and body hydrated by drinking plenty of water. And it's not just about what you drink—hydrating serums and masks can be a skin-saver, providing that extra moisture boost to prevent dryness and irritation. (You can purchase some gorgeous sheet masks from me in clinic, remember to ask me on your next visit.)

3. Lighter Skincare Products Switch to lighter skincare products that won’t clog your pores but still offer the hydration and protection your skin needs. Organic moisturisers and lighter serums are perfect for summer.

4. Antioxidant Boost Incorporate antioxidants in your skincare routine to fight off environmental damages from those longer days spent outdoors. Vitamin C serum is a summer staple for me, giving my skin that radiant "I just had a facial" glow.

5. Regular Facials And of course, regular facials can help to deeply cleanse and hydrate your skin, keeping it healthy and bright. Pop into Filter Freedom for a summer glow-up; we'll mix a little pampering with practical advice tailored just for you.

Remember, summer is the perfect time to enjoy life and take good care of your skin. So, lather on that SPF, stay hydrated, and let your skin shine!
